In this video, I talk about the book Amazon Unbound by Brad Stone. Stone has written two wonderful books about Amazon; The Everything Store, and the recently released book, Amazon Unbound. Both books take a deep dive into how Amazon works.
Amazon Unbound focuses on Amazon since 2013. It talks about the development of Alexa and Amazon Web Services, and many other innovative projects. It also talks about Jeff Bezos’ personal life, including the behind-the-scenes story about how his affair became headline news when it was leaked to The National Enquirer.
Brad Stone has many sources inside of Amazon, and he frequently quotes internal memos and emails. This book helps put Amazon’s recent projects and initiatives into perspective, while providing all the detail you could want about how they came to fruition.
I highly recommend both The Everything Store and Amazon Unbound.
